New England’s QB Cam Newton is arguably on thin ice in the NFL. After being dropped by the Carolina Panthers last offseason, all 32 teams passed on signing the 2015 MVP initially due to his history of being injury prone and inaccurate as a passing QB. The Patriots lost their crown jewel in Tom Brady who left for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency. This left Head Coach Bill Belichick without a solid Quarterback for a depleted roster due to COVID-19 Opt-Outs and Injuries. He took a chance on Cam Newton that no one else would take. ESPN recently asked Stephen A. Smith & Max Kellerman Should Cam Regret signing with the Patriots. In my opinion, Cam Newton had no choice but to take the chance because it appeared to be his last chance to be a starter in the NFL. Cam Newton is already in his 30’s and his list of injuries would make most elite teams look in another direction for a younger and more durable Quarterback with an efficient throwing ability.
