With the 2020-21 NBA Season less than 24 hours away, I want to give you my thoughts on what I expect this upcoming season. Let's start with the 2020 NBA Draft Class Prospects LaMelo Ball & Cole Anthony. Due to both Rookies landing in the Eastern Conference (Ball in Charlotte & Anthony in Orlando), I believe the NBA Media will create a storyline rivalry between these two players battling for the 8th seed in the NBA Playoffs for the next couple seasons. Everyone knows the Ball Family draws in ratings and eventually when arenas return to full capacity, the Ball family will sell tickets in Charlotte, North Carolina. On the other side of the coin, Cole Anthony (Son of NBA Legend Greg Anthony), will be expected to keep the Orlando Magic attractive after the team eventually trades All-Star Aaron Gordon & fires struggling Head Coach Steve Clifford.
When it comes to the Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo signed the Supermax Extension (5yr, $228 Million) which means that he's determined to bring an NBA Championship back to Milwaukee. The Bucks front office made a few moves to lock in their Franchise Player. Sending Eric Bledsoe to New Orleans for Jrue Holiday is considered an upgrade. Losing Bogdan Bogdanovic to the Atlanta Hawks was a huge loss and I didn't fully understand sending George Hill to the OKC Thunder. However, it's evident that the Bucks Front Office did just enough to secure Giannis for 5 more years. This Championship window will be their last chance to win with The Greek Freak in his prime.
